I think I would have made a great host for one of those Friday late night scary movie shows that they used to have on near the top of the UHF dial back in the 60s and 70s.

Fort Wayne used to have Nightmare Theater, hosted by some boob they called "The Shroud," but pronounced "the shrood." Cheap entertainment.
But then again, MST3K started on a small UHF station in the Twin Cities...

Yes, we had Shock Theater. It was on Channel 7 WXYZ Detroit on Friday and Saturday nights at 11:30 PM. The opening featured a floating skull and the words "SHOCK THEATER" jumping out from the screen. There was no host though. The first movie they ever showed was the original Frankenstien(ein) which I couldn't wait to see, but being a kid of about nine the first part of the movie was really boring because there was no monster, so I ended up falling asleep.
