The first rule of the grand ennui is ...

Ok, so I got the first message on my new telephone/answering machine yesterday.
It was from LuAnne from the library.
The book I asked her to put a hold on is in.
It's by that Chuck guy that all you young people get a bone over.
You know, the guy who wrote Fight Club.
It's Choke, and is it just me but does the book cover look like the cover of Gray's Anatomy?
It is just me, isn't it? I knew it, I knew it, I knew it.

IMHO, Chuck Palahniuk's best book after Fight Club is Lullaby. I was disappointed in Choke, but his stuff is always pretty quick digestion so it wasn't a lot of wasted reading time.

What'd you think?

This is the first book I have read by CP, so I really can't compare it. It is a fast read, but it does seem a little bit disjointed. It seems like one of those novels you write in a hurry to cash in on your earlier success.
When I get some time I do want to read Fight Club. I really liked the movie version of it.
